Por ello, la mejor estrategia no es &#8220;limpiar&#8221; despu\u00e9s, sino evitar que la placa se forme y frenar ese avance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En M\u00e9xico, seg\u00fan la Encuesta Nacional de Salud y Nutrici\u00f3n Continua (ENSANUT) 2021, m\u00e1s del 70% de los adultos presentan sobrepeso u obesidad, y el 34% tiene hipertensi\u00f3n arterial, condiciones vinculadas con un consumo elevado de grasas saturadas, az\u00facares y bajo consumo de fibra (INSP, 2024)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ensanut.insp.mx\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ENSANUT 2021<\/a>&nbsp;. Adem\u00e1s, m\u00e1s del 60% de ni\u00f1os y adolescentes mexicanos superan la ingesti\u00f3n diaria recomendada de az\u00facar y el consumo de sodio triplica lo sugerido por la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) (INSP, 2024)&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insp.mx\/avisos\/escolares-y-adolescentes-en-mexico-consumen-mas-azucar-de-la-recomendada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">INSP Aviso<\/a>&nbsp;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La placa arterial \u2014una mezcla de colesterol, grasas y otras sustancias\u2014 puede estrechar y endurecer las arterias, disminuyendo el flujo sangu\u00edneo y poniendo en riesgo \u00f3rganos vitales como el coraz\u00f3n y el cerebro. <strong>La buena noticia es que t\u00fa tienes en tus manos gran parte de la prevenci\u00f3n: lo que comes, c\u00f3mo te mueves y c\u00f3mo cuidas tu estilo de vida puede marcar la diferencia.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cover\"><span aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-cover__background has-background-dim\"><\/span><div class=\"wp-block-cover__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-cover-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>Eliminar la placa que se acumula en las paredes arteriales es un reto complejo, y hacerlo sin un tratamiento invasivo es casi imposible. El estudio PREDIMED, un ensayo cl\u00ednico multic\u00e9ntrico realizado en Espa\u00f1a, demostr\u00f3 que personas con alto riesgo cardiovascular que segu\u00edan una dieta mediterr\u00e1nea suplementada con aceite de oliva virgen extra o nueces reduc\u00edan su riesgo de eventos cardiovasculares mayores (infarto, ictus, muerte cardiovascular) en un 30% en comparaci\u00f3n con la dieta baja en grasas tradicionales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, este patr\u00f3n alimentario aumenta el consumo de polifenoles, antioxidantes naturales presentes en aceite de oliva, frutos rojos y vegetales, que han demostrado mejorar la funci\u00f3n endotelial y reducir la inflamaci\u00f3n sist\u00e9mica implicada en la formaci\u00f3n de placa arterial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 id=\"dieta-dash\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dieta DASH<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>La&nbsp;dieta DASH&nbsp;fue dise\u00f1ada espec\u00edficamente para combatir la hipertensi\u00f3n, pero ha demostrado beneficios globales para la salud vascular y metab\u00f3lica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se caracteriza por una alta ingesta de frutas, verduras, productos l\u00e1cteos bajos en grasa, cereales integrales, prote\u00ednas magras, y una menor cantidad de sodio, az\u00facares y grasas saturadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Metaan\u00e1lisis publicados en revistas como&nbsp;<em>Circulation<\/em>&nbsp;y&nbsp;<em>The New England Journal of Medicine<\/em>&nbsp;muestran que la adhesi\u00f3n a la dieta DASH reduce significativamente la presi\u00f3n arterial, mejora los niveles de colesterol y disminuye el riesgo de enfermedad cardiovascular en poblaci\u00f3n general y grupos de riesgo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"para-finalizar\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Para finalizar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prevenir la acumulaci\u00f3n de placa arterial es mucho m\u00e1s sencillo y beneficioso que intentar revertirla. Y aun si ya cuentas con alguna enfermedad relacionada, o si lo que buscas es prevenirla, la mejor soluci\u00f3n siempre es optar por h\u00e1bitos que te beneficien; una alimentaci\u00f3n fresca y natural, moverte con regularidad, manejar el estr\u00e9s y dejar atr\u00e1s h\u00e1bitos da\u00f1inos puede marcar una gran diferencia.
